Well, I've finally done it. I submitted the official paperwork to form an LLC. My photography business is now official on paper. Now I need to talk with a CPA about how to handle taxes and bank accounts and such. But for now, it's time to start purchasing equipment that I can write off as business expenses.

First off, I'm going to order a Canon EOS 40D kit with an 28-135mm image stabilizing lens. I may also order a wider zoom lens somewhere in the 18mm-80mm range. I guess I should also go for prime lens or two as well. All as money allows, of course.

Nice work. Enjoyed the spiders a lot, and the velvet ant. I only just saw / shot my first one of them this past spring. We seem to shoot a lot of the same sorts of things - only you actually shoot photos of people it seems. Something I have been avoiding for some reason.
