Water

I feel adrift in an ocean of sorrow.  
These tears are lost to the endless, crushing depths.
A torrent of sadness pulls me down, its current fierce... so cold, so dark.
I struggle against the flow, thinking of what was, and what can yet be.
This sea of memories...  a lake of hope... a river of desire.
I desperately seek those dark and radiant pools that so easily hold my gaze.
Within them I would gladly drown... and struggle no more.
